Issues related to the tightening of internal afforestation and control over illegal logging in landslides were discussed


On August 7, 2025, the Rescue Service of the Interdepartmental Working Group was held at the Rescue Service of the Interdepartmental Working Group, which was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Director-Interior of the SRC.

The deputy director of the rescue service, representatives of the responsible departments were present.

Welcoming those present, Kamo Shepulyan highlighted such discussions and cooperation as a result. He noted that the cooperation of various specialists of the working group will contribute to managing risks and to face effective challenges.

Gurgen Martirosyan, head of the rescue and disaster risk reduction department, presented the issues on the agenda, after which an active discussion took place.

During the meeting, the members of the interdepartmental working group have raised problematic issues and subjected substantive solutions.

The need to continue research in landslides in landslides, the possibilities of remotesting and drainage works in forested areas, tightening control over illegal capacity and other issues.

Summing up the sitting, Kamo Coschevian thanked the participants and stressed that the targeted disaster risk management requires a consistent approach and a new, more effective ways to solve problems.
