The Central Bank has filed the reason for the recent failures in the ArCa system

The disruptions noticed in the ArCa system have been the result of a device failure. The Central Bank Deputy Chairman Armen Nurbekyan said at the press conference.

"The Central Bank continues to study the ARCA system. ArCA's failure has been a consequence of the restraint of the device. It is a device provided by a foreign company with a very large reputation. Now they are conducting actual research, and they also invited specialists to understand how it was due to, "said Nurbekyan.

The Vice-President of the Central Bank highlighted the reason to clarify the reason for excluding the recurrence of such cases.

"The Central Bank, regardless of ArCA's statements, has had some controlled recomendations in terms of continuity and will pursue that they will be implemented. Most have been made, there are some things that we must work with ArCa to continue, "said the CB Vice President.

He stressed that the non-cash volume in Armenia has even increased, of course, the workload of the systems has increased.

"Until this moment, we have not seen significant failures, now we will keep in the center of attention from a monitoring point of view to make sure that such risks are manageable," said Nurbakyan.

He reminded that in the world, even in many developed countries, the systems are disrupted. The problem was that this failure lasted long.

"And we have to do our best to make these failures more manageable. It is a problem that we need to solve, "Nurbakyan stressed.
