People's artist of Russia Alyona Yakovleva was hospitalized in Moscow with suspicion of appendicitis, the 63-year-old actress told "Moscow" agency about this.

According to Yakovleva, she was not able to participate in the creative meeting at the Vakhtangov Theater because she is at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute. "They took me in an ambulance as soon as I played the play. Doctors suspect I may have appendicitis. If these predictions are confirmed, I will have an operation in three or four days", said the artist.

The actress praised the work of the doctors and the diagnostic possibilities at the hospital. He noted that he is being followed by the best specialists.

A creative meeting with Yakovleva was supposed to take place on October 21 at the Vakhtangov Theater. In the afternoon, the institution informed that the meeting will not take place due to the illness of the actress.
