Afghanistan and Pakistan have signed an agreement on preferential tariffs for some agricultural products that make up most export supplies, Pajhwok news agency reported, citing the Afghan Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
"According to the Afghan Embassy in Pakistan, a privileged trade agreement was signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries," the statement said.
The agreement stated that customs duties on Afghan vineyards, pacifices of Pakistani Mango, Kamnown (mandarin hybrid), banana and potatoes imported from Afghanistan to Afghanistan.
In the statement, the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that the implementation of this agreement is an important step towards increasing trade volumes, strengthening economic cooperation and entering the market for farmers.
