Weightlifter Grigor Ghazaryan, the gold medalist of the European Junior Championship


Grigor Ghazaryan, a member of the Armenian national team, won the title of 338 kg (148 + 190 kg) in the 338 kg (148 + 190 kg) in the Spanish capital, Madrid.

In the snatch exercise, the Armenian weightlifter made three successful approaches, holding 140 kg, 145 kg and 148 kg weight lows. With the third approach of the snatch exercise, 148 kg, Ghazaryan set a new European record for Europeans. As a result of the snatch exercise, the Armenian weightlifter won a gold medal.

At the first approach to the push exercise, Ghazaryan raised the 180-kg barbar, setting a new record for Europe pushing and doubles. Ghazaryan also updated his own record, holding 185 kg and 190 kg in his push exercise. In this form, he also won a gold medal.

In May of this year, the Armenian weightlifter, played in the 96 kg weight category, won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Peru's capital Lima, showing 330 kg (145 + 185 kg). In separate exercises, Ghazaryan won gold medals.
