Marat Achemyan and Zaven Mezhlumyan, representing Armenia, became bronze medalists at the World Wrestling Championship. This is informed about the message spread by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
In the fight for 55 kg weightlifting in Athens, Achemyan won the Armenian representative with a score of 11-0 for a bronze medal. Before that, the European-M 17 champion in the consolation fight gained 8-0 advantage over the athlete representing Egypt.
Zaven Mezhlumyan (60 kg), who was noting his debut in the international arena, defeated the Ukrainian wrestler with a score of 5: 2 for the bronze medal. Mezhlumyan gained a 5-0 advantage over the Mexican wrestler in the consolation zone.
Earlier, Janes Nazaryan, a member of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team, was a gold medal at the World Cup at the World Cup.
The World Wrestling World Championship will last until August 3. The next match will be provided to freestyle wrestlers.
