The Australian government has decided to include the Hosting Service of YouTube, which falls under the Law of Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
"It is possible that in accordance with the Council of Australia's online Security Council, young people will not be able to open an account on YouTube platform," he said at a press conference on Australian media.
The politician confirmed that this barrier will also apply to Facebook and Instagram social networks, Snapchat, Tiktok and X. According to him, online games, messengers and educational platforms will not restrict restrictions.
Albanese said that in September, the 28th session of the UN General Assembly will discuss social networks on teenagers' mental health.
