Georgia has denied reports of failures in the work of the customs control system


All customs procedures in Georgia are carried out uninterrupted, and customs officers maintain a constant connection with the partners of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. This was reported by the Georgian Ministry of Finance Revenues, Sputnik Armenia reports.

Earlier, Georgian media outlets wrote the failure of the work of the customs control system throughout the country. Revenue service has denied this information.

"All customs control procedures for the import and export of cargo to the state border are carried out uninterrupted," explained the department.

At the same time, the number of customs officers has increased in all the border points of the country to ensure a round-the-clock.

In order to jointly manage exports and import flows through Georgia, the income service employees are in close contact with the customs services of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
