Arkady Cherchinyan, Executive Director of the Traffic Department, and Deputy Director Khachatur Mkrtchyan, Khachatur Mkrtchyan, visited the Kosh-Upper Sasunik-Lernarot local highway, the 9.5 km long section of which is funded by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
The employees of the contractor, presenting the current construction, said that about 40% of land works were carried out, a sandpagonic layer was installed in 1 km, and artificial structures were carried out in about 20 locations. About 100 lords of basalt intersections have been installed in the village of Lernarot, and gabion series have been implemented, etc. In some parts, the road is expanding, the work and charges are underway. The representatives of the Road Department also visited the 2.2 km section of the Avan-Knusik highway passing through Aragatsotn region, which is also renovated with the means of the RA state budget. The land works are underway here. Locals note that the road has not been renovated for decades, and now there are great prospects for the road repair.
