The French Court of Cassation has canceled the arrest of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. This was reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP), citing its source.
"The court ruled that no exception can be canceled by the head of the head of state," the agency quoted the statement of the President of the French Court Christopheular.
He also noted. "Because Assad is no longer president, new orders of arrest are given against him, so the trial of him can continue."
France's first international arrest renders against Assad in November 2023 on charges of using chemical weapons during an attack on East Guta. All accusations of the use of chemical weapons Assad's government has denied.
