The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Kir Starmer will use US President Donald Trump to fight for the reduction of Scottish whiskey customs duties, according to Financial Times, citing government sources.
Trump will visit Scotland on July 25-29.
According to the newspaper, itms will meet with Trump on Monday and will use that meeting to establish closer ties, including Scottish whiskey and British steel.
The United Kingdom is exported to 25 percent of US customs duties, which is lower than 50% of the world customs duties. The US President previously partially released the United Kingdom to win a trade agreement to enter the countries.
