Trump has said that there would be no conflict in Gaza if he were US president

Former US President Donald Trump is convinced that the conflict between the Palestinian Hamas movement and Israel in the Gaza Strip could have been avoided if he was in the White House.

"If I were the president, this war would never have started," Trump said in an interview with Dubai-based Al Arabiya television station. "There wouldn't be all these dead people, all these destroyed cities and regions. It would not be October 7, that would be the most important thing. This and all the destruction that followed on October 7, the hatred and all the rest would not have happened." He also expressed confidence that after Israel killed the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement Yahya Sinwar and the leader of the Lebanese Shiite movement "Hezbollah" Hassan Nasrullah, there is an opportunity to resume indirect negotiations to end the conflict in the Middle East.

"There will be no [radical movement] like the Taliban and Afghanistan and everything that is happening there. So this moment in history was really one of the most embarrassing that we've ever had," Trump said. According to him, the conflict in Ukraine could have been avoided in this case as well.
