Hungary will not allow the EU leadership to use Russian oil and gas. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siararto stated this during a meeting with EU ambassadors to Budapest.
"Brussels moves in a completely wrong direction. They want to continue the war in Ukraine, they want to allow illegal migrants to enter and impose gender madness on us.
They do not want to ban us from using cheap Russian oil and gas, which threatens to double, triple and even quadrate the cost of communal services from Hungarian families.
We will not allow this, Hungary is our number one priority. I have clarified this to the EU Ambassadors in Budapest, "the Foreign Minister wrote on his Facebook page.
Earlier, the Hungarian government announced that it would not support the European Commission's program to fully suspend oil and gas supplies from Russia to EU oil and gas from Russia.
