In Tbilisi, the opposition started a march in support of European integration

Georgia's opposition supporters are holding a march in Tbilisi a week before the parliamentary elections in support of the country's integration into the European Union, the TASS correspondent reports from the scene.

Several thousand residents of the capital holding Georgian and EU flags are marching in five different districts of Tbilisi.

The participants of the action with banners "Georgia chooses the European Union", "Come to the election" plan to walk to the Freedom Square in the center of the capital, where a concert will take place. They stand in favor of European integration and accuse the current authorities of changing their foreign policy course and not allowing the country to move further into the EU.

Accordingly, the participants and organizers of the march want the victory of the opposition parties in the elections to be held on October 26, which will allow them to form a parliamentary majority.

Car traffic is blocked on the streets where citizens walk. The protesters are accompanied by the march.
