Armenia can be a bridge for Iran to the EAEU market

Arsen Avagyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an interview with the ISNA news agency, said about the bilateral relations and cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan. "There are warm and neighborly relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran," Armenpress reports.

Speaking about cooperation in the energy sector, the diplomat referred to one of the most important bilateral economic projects, the construction works of the third line of the Iran-Armenia high-voltage power transmission line, expressing his joy that friendly Iran is taking practical steps to complete that project.

"It is a fact that strong bilateral economic cooperation is an important stimulus for multilateral cooperation as well. The geographical location of the Republic of Armenia and the opportunities it provides are a natural bridge for the Islamic Republic of Iran to the EAEU market. Our government welcomes both the signing of the agreement on free trade between the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran in 2023, as well as Iran's high-level involvement in the Eurasian Economic Forum held in Yerevan from September 30 to October 1," said Arsen Avagyan.
