Iceland does not plan to resort to the definition of 10% customs duties on the import of importance from the country to the United States, Politico reports after an interview with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tiorgerdur Catherine Gunsdotir.
"Reykjavik has no immediate plans for retaliatory events," the publication writes.
The Minister noted that Iceland is committed to dialogue with the US government.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington intends to set 10-15% of imports to goods imported from 150 countries, which are not large economies.
