Indonesia does not intend to leave BRICS due to US customs threat

Indonesia will remain a member of BRICS, despite US President Donald Trump, to set 10% customs duties for any country that supports the group's "Anti-American" policy, said Secretary of State Prasetho Hadi.

"We see Washington's threats as one of the consequences of joining BRICS, and we will have to face it," Jakarta Globe quotes her words quotes.

Earlier, Trump has announced the establishment of additional 10% customs duties for the countries that support BRICS "anti-American" policy.

In addition, the American leader sent letters to a number of states, including Indonesian leaders, to define additional customs duties on August 1. Indonesian customs duties will be 32%.
