The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs checked 800 people at the background of protests on Tuesday night, arresting 18 of them. The agency continues to prevent the protesters from blocking the city streets, nodes, main transport junctions and highways in different cities of the country.
According to the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, 16 people were arrested for administrative offenses, and two more were suspected of criminal offenses.
"All traffic jams in Serbia and Belgrade have been eliminated, and road traffic has been fully restored," the statement said.
The Ministry has again called on citizens to maintain the law, refrain from any illegal actions and not apply to the closure of the roads.
