The US National Security Council will hold a session on July 8, during which the country's political and military leadership will discuss the supply of new group of weapons in Ukraine. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing white house sources.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States would send "a few more weapons". As the American leader explained, it is "first of all, defensive" weapons.
The Pentagon has approved the programs to transfer additional "defensive weapons" to Ukraine by the US Administration.
"According to President Trump, the Ministry of Defense sends additional defense weapons to Ukraine to ensure that Ukrainians can protect themselves while we are working to stop the murder," said US Secretary of Defense's Public Relations.
