The command of the Lebanese army has taken steps to strengthen control over Syria due to the threat of the "Islamic State" extremist group. This is stated in the statement of the army press service, which was published in X.
"Intensive patrol is carried out in the border zone for maintaining stability, additional observation towers have been installed," the text said.
"The command of the Armed Forces is in constant contact with the Syrian authorities and coordinates security measures with them."
On June 27, the army's special forces were neutralized by a dangerous terrorist leading the secret network of IP in Lebanon. During the operation in Burj al-Harrajni, the Supreme Committee of the capital on June 30, five members of the IP Diversion Cell were arrested. They are all Syrian citizens.
