Grigor Iskandaryan, a member of the "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, writes on his Facebook page:
“Approximately $3.5 million in awards for poor performance
Against the background of the problems and many complaints of the citizens in Yerevan, the citizens of Yerevan should be aware of how much remuneration the staff of Yerevan Municipality received in 2023. and 2024.
And so, in response to my inquiry, Yerevan Municipality officially presented the following.
In 2023, the bonus was 549. 324: 465 AMD. That's about $1.5 million.
2024 As of October 8, the reward was 778. 292: 524 AMD or more than 2 million dollars. In other words, the bonuses distributed in 10 months of this year exceeded last year's figures. The year is not over yet and it is assumed that at the end of the year we will have double the amount of last year.
In general, in 2023-2024 prize money is about $3.5 million. And all this against Yerevan's bad management. We leave the assessments to our citizens."
