To support Ukraine, Western allies have created a set of separate coalitions, specializing in helping Kyiv in a range of military areas. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke about this, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Austin, we are talking about coalitions in artillery, air force, IT technology and drones.
“We have an air power coalition that was initially focused on helping Ukraine obtain fighter jets. As you know, Ukraine now has F-16s, and we will continue to strengthen this,” he said at a press conference on Friday, October 18.
The Artillery Coalition is helping Ukraine obtain artillery systems and ammunition both to meet current needs and for the long term. The IT coalition supports Kyiv in the information space, and the drone coalition helps resolve issues with drones.
On October 18, it was reported that US President Joe Biden promised not to leave Ukraine in the winter. According to him, allies must maintain support and continue to move forward until Ukraine achieves “a fair, lasting peace consistent with the provisions of the UN Charter.”
Earlier, Putin told how the Ukrainian and Russian armies differ.
