Control of fuel imported from Iran to RA by truck drivers is carried out

The observations and control measures of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia show that truck drivers traveling from the "Norduz" crossing point of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the "Agarak" crossing point of the Republic of Armenia regularly carry small containers with them as a reserve for the vehicle. transport fuel (mainly diesel fuel), which in one way or another later appear on the market.

The customs body continuously carries out control in order to prevent the importation of fuel in such a way. For example, only in 2024 As a result of surveillance carried out between 16:00 on October 12 and 16:00 on October 13, more than 10 tons of fuel were collected from trucks.

As a result of such behavior of drivers, the customs administration significantly affects the throughput of trucks from the "Agarak" crossing point. In other words, such control results in fewer trucks being missed and queues forming.

The Committee also informed the Islamic Republic of Iran's customs authorities about the issue in order to monitor the phenomenon mentioned at the "Norduz" crossing point.

Taking into account the above, the SRC urges truck drivers, transporters, businessmen who receive cargo to take measures to exclude the import of fuel in such a way, because on the one hand it is not legal, and on the other hand, the continuous strengthened customs control over it will negatively affect "Agarak" » on the bandwidth of the crossing point.
