On June 19, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abyssoghomenian met with Sonya Veriklik, Head of the Cluster Delegation of the South Caucasus of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society (IFRC). This was reported by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of cooperation between the International Federation of Armenia and the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Federation, in particular, in the context of addressing humanitarian problems facing the region.
Thoughts were exchanged on the prospects of current programs aimed at addressing humanitarian issues and further cooperation. The Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to expand and deepen cooperation with international partners and humanitarian organizations on humanitarian issues.
Touching upon the needs of the forced deportees from Nagorno-Karabakh, the Deputy Foreign Minister presented his colleague's efforts to address medium-term and long-term issues, and emphasize the importance of continuity of international support in this issue.
