As a result of heavy rain, 5 cases were registered in the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

According to the instructions of the Director of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Deputy Minister of the Interior, Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan, from October 17 to 18, due to the weather conditions, the subordinate units of the Rescue Service in the territory of the republic went on enhanced duty, during which they conducted tours and visual inspections.


The tours and visual inspections were aimed at preventing possible emergencies due to heavy rain.


On October 17, starting at 18:00, observations were carried out at 2-hour intervals in the city of Yerevan, in all regions of the Republic of Armenia, along the banks of rivers and in other dangerous zones.


As a result of heavy rain, 5 cases were registered in the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The rescue workers, promptly responding to the police officers, carried out a number of necessary operations. In particular, in order to provide support for the roof repair works at No. 31 Khanjyan Street in Yerevan, the fire-rescue squad No. 8 fire-rescue squad of the EPR went to the scene of the incident. In the auxiliary building located at 49 Shirak Street, the duty group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, carried out drainage works, near the address 26/13 of the 2nd district of Davtashen administrative district, the rescuers pulled out a blocked car from the pit accumulated by rainwater. In Hrazdan city of Kotayk region, in Getapnya settlement of Ararat region, firemen and rescuers carried out rainwater removal and other works from apartments and basements of houses, with the aim of reducing damages caused by adverse weather conditions.
