Los Angeles police surrounded the protesters on all sides

Los Angeles police blocked a group of protesters, surrounding all sides. People are leaving their hands up, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

Earlier, the police released rubber bullets on a group of hundreds of protesters outside the curfew, as a result of which the activists retreated, but not to escape.

The riots began on June 7, when the US Immigration and Customs Service (ICE) conducted a search of the Los Angeles Center, where there was a large-scale operation to identify illegal immigrants. Clashes with the participants of the protests took place against the background of the possible reductions on federal funding for the state. The next day, the White House announced that 2,000 servicemen of the National Guard will be located in the city.
