In connection with the incident at the school named after John Kirakosyan, the Ministry of Education and Culture appealed to the law enforcement agencies to get some information. KGS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan said about this today, on October 17, in a conversation with journalists after the government session.
"Because we received alerts that a problematic situation was created from the point of view of children's rights and best interests during the special operation. Now we are waiting for the reaction of the law enforcement officers to understand a complete picture. I have also spoken with my colleagues from law enforcement agencies and suggested that together we understand from the point of view of procedures and provide necessary support, advice on how certain actions should be carried out in the presence of children," said the minister.
According to him, of course, you all understand that the law enforcement agencies should be able to act first of all, because the accusation that is being made is extremely serious. "We ourselves must support in every possible way that all such problems are revealed in our schools, we all understand that in reality people almost do not talk about such problems, or when they do, they remain unheard. Therefore, as the Ministry of Education and Culture, we attach great importance to that all similar situations in our schools are first of all prevented, but if they exist, then they are revealed and all those steps are taken from the point of view of the law. This does not mean that in the children's environment one should not take into account how to organize, for example, any necessary activity," he said.
Let's remind that on October 10, the National Security Service carried out operations at John Kirakosyan School No. 20, the school employee was transferred to the RA Investigative Committee. A public criminal prosecution was initiated against one of the employees of the school named after John Kirakosyan according to the 1st and 3rd points of the 3rd part of Article 201 of the RA Criminal Code.
