Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that his country is trying to hold talks between Russia and Ukraine to hold talks in Istanbul. He stated this in a conversation with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.
"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev. Our President noted that efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia continue. Turkey is working to unite the parties in Istanbul to ensure peace in the region, "the statement issued by Erdogan administration said after the conversation.
The Presidents also discussed "bilateral relations between Turkey and Bulgaria, the regional and world agenda".
