Ukraine postpones the participation of talks

Ukraine has not yet confirmed its participation in new talks with Russia in Istanbul, demanding to see Moscow's proposals first. At the same time, the leading Republican Senate Senator Lindsi Graham warned that Moscow will be severely sanctions due to its actions against Ukraine, Reuters reports.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has stated that it is necessary to have a clear agenda and proper preparation to have meaningful talks. "Russia is trying to prevent the results from these negotiations without submitting the necessary documents," Zelensky said.

On the eve of the new meeting, former US President Donald Trump again called on Moscow and Kiev to make peace, while the Kremlin said that his delegation was ready to go to Istanbul. The delegation will be headed by Vladimir Medinsky. Among Russia's demands are the provision of written guarantees for the end of NATO's eastern expansion, and Kiev again stressed that it wants peace this year, 30, 50 or 100 days in the ceasefire.
