Montenegro does not intend to send its troops to Ukraine

Montenegro does not intend to send its troops to the controlled areas of Ki, and its instructors of NATO's security and teaching mission (NSATU) will prepare Ukrainian soldiers in EU countries. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

"No soldier of the Montenegro Army will be deployed in the Ukrainian area or will not participate in this country of military action. Possible participation refers to the training of Ukrainian soldiers in EU countries, "he said.

Earlier, Montenegro's media reported that the country's Scrupstina (unicameral parliament) would receive a proposal from the Republic Army to send to the NSATU mission from the republic's army.
The establishment of a NATO Security Assistance and Training Program was determined for Ukraine in July 2024 at the NATO summit in Washington.
