The President of the European Cycling Federation Enrico Dela Kasan and the Secretary General of the Union Alasder McLenan visited Armenia for the first time.
Effective meetings have occurred.
The discussion with the President of the Armenian Cycling Federation Ara Sadoyan focused on the development of bicycle sports in Armenia, paying special attention to the youth programs and future projects supported by EEC.
Preliminary agreement was reached to hold 2029 in Armenia. European Bicycle Youth Championship and other international tournaments such as BMX Freestyle Park Championship.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with the Chief of Staff of the RA Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan. Deputy Chairman-in-Office Hasmik Avagyan was also present at the meeting.
The work and further programs on the development of bicycle sports in Armenia were discussed.
Arayik Harutyunyan thanked for the development of this sport in our country and presented the steps taken by the Government of the Republic of Armenia in this direction. In particular, it was noted that bicycles were provided to schools on the eve of the RA Prime Minister's Cup highway tournament.
Enrico Dela Kasan has once again announced the patriarchal of the European Bicycle Union to support the development and popularization of cycling in our country.
