The third ministerial meeting of "3 + 3" format on the South Caucasus is currently being prepared. Moscow is in favor of the next two meetings in Baku and Yerevan. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a news conference after the talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
"We talked about where the third match in the" 3 + 3 "format can be convened. I think that the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, who want to accept this event, can easily agree between each other, and we are ready to contribute to the sequence of the meeting.
The initiative of the six-party format of cooperation in the South Caucasus was initiated by Azerbaijani and Turkish leaders Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who later called "3 + 3". Russia and Iran welcomed this idea, and Armenia also joined the format. Georgia has stated that it is not going to take part in the initiative.
