The Iranian parliament (parliament) has approved the draft law on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with Russia, Fars agency reported.
"The members of the parliament have approved the general provisions of the draft law on the agreement on the agreement between Iran and Russia," the agency said in a statement.
The agreement between Russia and Iran has been sent to the Iranian parliament in early May. According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ismail Baghai, the agreement is actively running the necessary stages for ratification.
The agreement was signed on January 17, 2025 during his visit to Massoud Pezeshkyan, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkyan.
