The United States welcomes the mediation efforts of Saudi Arabia to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. The statement came from the representative of the State Department.
"We appreciate the mediation role of Saudi Arabia in Ukraine," said the State Department's representative, whose words quoted Asharq News. He also said that Washington was "coordinating his actions with Riyadh, which are aimed at stopping the war in the Palestinian Gaza Strip."
The State Department spokesman also noted that "Saudi Arabia is the main partner of the United States in ensuring security and stability in the Middle East," and the relations between Washington and Riyadh "are strategic in all spheres."
Some time ago, US President Donald Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on the first state visit after assuming the post. The US President is expected to meet with the Kingdom leaders on Tuesday, as he will take part in the Saudi Arabia and the US Investment Forum.
