The opening ceremony of the European Karate Championship took place in Yerevan


Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, attended the opening ceremony of the 60th Karate Championship in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. The government's press service informs about this.

The ceremony was also present at the ceremony of the President of the World and European Karate Federation Antonio Espinos, Secretary General of the European Karate Federation, high-ranking officials, honorary guests from different countries of the world, sports fans.

The European Karate Championship is held on May 8-11 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. About 1,000 athletes from 54 countries are participating in the championship.

In 2027, it is planned to hold the European Junior and Youth Karate Championship in Yerevan.
