Jerusalem - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Security Cabinet voted in favor of expanding hostilities in Gaza, aims to fully capture the area and keep it under Israel's control. According to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Kan, the new action plan will be phased and can take several months. It is planned to move in different parts of the zone, while keeping the occupied territories, as opposed to the short-term government, the possibility of negotiations on the release of ceasefire and hostages while US President Donald Trump next week's visit to the region.
At the moment, Israel controls about a third of Gaza. The actions resumed in March after the collapse of the ceasefire reached with the support of the United States. The beast is completely besieged, and the entrance of humanitarian aid is blocked. The civilian population will move to a more south, but the blockade will not be eliminated yet. The United Nations and humanitarian organizations have strongly criticized the new Israeli program, calling it "militarization of humanitarian aid."
The Chief of the Israeli Armed Forces stated that tens of thousands of warehouses were sent to take part in large-scale operations.
It should be reminded that the war started in 2023. On October 7, with Hamas attack, about 1,200 Israeli was killed. In response, Israel has launched large-scale land and air attacks, which according to Gaza's health authorities, the deaths of more than 52,000 Palestinians reported.
