The South Korean Prosecutor's Office has accused the former President Yun Seook Joli in abusing official powers on the events of the early 2024. This was reported by Chunan Ilbo newspaper.
The special group of the Prosecutor's Office, which investigates the cases of martial situation under the revoltation, stated that the actions of the former head of the country will be tested for the fulfillment of his powers.
"During the additional investigation, the defendant Yun Seook Yul has been charged with abuse of office," the newspaper quotes the statement of law enforcement. These suspicions are also connected with the experience of obstructing the competent authorities during the execution.
A new charge has been charged without detention. On April 4, the Constitutional Court dropped Out Seook Jeol Impeachment, removing his presidential immunity. Criminal prosecution against the incumbent president is possible only with the articles of rebellion and treason. Prosecutors have accused Yun Seook Yoli accused of organizing a rebellion against the constitutional order on January 26.
