In the case of the "History of the Armenian People" textbook, KGSMN lost in court

Another case is being examined in the administrative court, in which the minister's order regarding guaranteeing the scandalous textbook is disputed. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports lost in court in the case related to the history textbook of the Armenian people. Lawyer Ara Zohrabyan reports this on his Facebook page. According to him, last year the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia guaranteed two textbooks on the history of the Armenian people of the 7th grade for use.

One was the textbook "History of Armenians" authored by Ashot Ghukasyan and A. Teryan, the other was the textbook "History of Armenians" authored by Smbat Hovhannisyan within the framework of the interdisciplinary project of the "Participatory School" CS, which caused a great scandal.

"The minister, seeing the very negative reaction of the public and specialized circles regarding the scandalous textbook, and realizing that schools and teachers will not use the scandalous textbook from those two textbooks, takes a cunning and illegal step.
Not having the right to do so, he submitted Ghukasyan's already approved textbook for re-examination and removed it from use by order, leaving only one option for schools and teachers - the scandalous textbook," Zohrabyan notes.

Lawyers filed a lawsuit in the Administrative Court, and today the court decided to recognize the lack of legal relationship arising from the adoption of the minister's order (regarding the withdrawal of Ghukasyan's textbook). This means that schools and teachers will have an alternative version of the textbook for the 7th grade "Armenian History" subject. Zohrabyan informs that the administrative court is also examining the case of challenging the order of the minister who guaranteed the scandalous textbook.
