The French national team and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has been reported to the police on charges of rape in a hotel in the center of Stockholm, reports TV4 Nyheterna.

Kylian Mbappe made a surprise visit to the Swedish capital last week and was seen partying in central Stockholm on Thursday until Friday morning. The 25-year-old Real Madrid forward dined at Chez Jolie restaurant in Stockholm's upscale Estermalm district before heading to a nearby nightclub.

According to the police report, the alleged sexual assault took place on Thursday, October 10, the source informs. A police report was filed two days later. According to the spokesperson of the police, Daniel Vikdal, the prosecutor is now investigating the case.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, which first reported the rape allegations, said the sexual assault likely took place at the hotel where Mbappe was staying.
