The event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place at the US Embassy in the United States on April 24, 2010, as well as representatives of the US State Department, as well as the diplomatic corps, international organizations, scientific circles and the Armenian community. RA Ambassador to the United States Lilit Makunts made a speech at the event. Lilia and Alexandra Yaralia, who did doctoral work on the lives and lives of the great Armenian composer Komitas Vardapet, performed several passages from Komitas' works.
At the end of the event, American-Armenian composer and composer Emily Simonyan presented the story of his family survived by the Armenian Genocide.
