"Dear people, beloved citizens of the Republic of Armenia, today we commemorate the Armenian Genocide, who were victims of the massacres and mass deportations in 1915. These events in the last period of the Ottoman Empire have left a profound trace of every Armenian's soul and consciousness, the Genocide is not only a national but also a family, personal tragedy for many citizens of Armenia. Surviving this tragedy is one of the key issues on our national agenda, regardless of how it was formulated as such.
