The Jordanian authorities have decided to ban the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood in the country, confiscate its property and close all the offices of the organization in the Kingdom. Interior Minister Mazen Farayan stated this at a press conference in Amman.
According to the Minister, the members of the group were engaged in underground activities aimed at destabilizing the situation and disrupting national unity. "Mislinking the Muslim Brotherhood, spreading their ideas on the media and social networks will be punished by law," Faraya warned.
On April 15, the Jordanian Interior Ministry stated that it was a conspiracy to prevent 16 people accused of preparing terrorist attacks, holding weapons and foreign organizations.
In Jordan, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood is the "front of Islamic actions", the supporters of which occupy 31 seats in the country's parliament.
