The French and British authorities are ready for Ukraine to have the loss of control over the territories of the Russian Federation. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) writes about this, citing sources of diplomatic circles of the two countries.
According to the interlocutors, in return, Ukraine must receive reliable guarantees of its future security, as well as strong economic assistance for future development. At the same time, they emphasize that France and the United Kingdom would like Ukraine to recognize the loss of territories only with the example of the agreement between the Republic of Korea and the DPRK.
The authors of the publication emphasize that the prospect of Ukraine's recognition of the loss of its territory has caused concern among Ukraine's leadership and the governments of allied countries in Europe. However, such a scenario hinders major political and legal difficulties in Ukraine.
