The Israeli Foreign Ministry expressed a brief condolences to the death of Pope Francis on its official pages, but almost immediately deleted the posts. According to TASS, the Jerusalem Post reports.
The newspaper provides the Scruthael from the Page XISRAEL page, which runs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Jewish State. The record included the text, "Retrieved peacefully, Pope Francis, blessed his memory." The post was accompanied by a photo where the pontiff prayes at the west wall of Jerusalem.
According to The Jerusalem Post, these messages were also posted on the official Pages of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and Facebook. All these publications were removed.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry officials told The Jerusalem Post that the materials were mistakenly published, making Israel's position on the Pontificoice related to its public statements on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
