The Indian Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced a national mourning on the death of Pope Francis, which will last on April 22-23, as well as the day of the funeral of Pontifik.

Pope Francis died on April 21, 2025 at his Vatican residence. He was the first grandfather from Latin America (Argentina) that the Catholic Church is headed since March 2013.
