Liana Gyurjyan won a silver medal at the European Weightlifting Championships in the 87 kg weight category. He was declared the vice-champion of Europe with a result of 246 kilograms.
22-year-old Gyurjyan made three approaches in the snatch and took the 4th place with the result of 106 kg. In the push exercise, with 3 successful approaches, the weightlifter weighing 140 kg and won a small silver medal.
In this weight category, the other representative of Armenia, the vice-champion of Europe, the Bronze medalist of the World Cup, has won a small silver medal in the snatch exercise. He successfully performed all three approaches, first of the top 102, then 106 and 110 kg weighing. He was only the fourth in the doubles.
