The United States would like a long-term solution to the crisis on Ukraine and extends ceasefire after Sunday, Reuters reports, citing the State Department.
Earlier, on Saturday, Putin stated an Easter ceasefire. It started operating at 18:00 Yerevan time and last until April 21 at 00:00. According to the President, he states that Kiev will follow Moscow's example. At the same time, Russian troops must be ready to repel the possible violations and provocations of the ceasefire by the enemy, the Russian leader said.
"The United States will welcome the extension of the ceasefire after Sunday," the article reads.
The US State Department also stated that Washington is committed to the "It's Erea and Comprehensive" settlement.
