The United Kingdom must strengthen its military presence in high latitudes under the strengthening competition between global players in the Arctic. According to Financial Times, the British government will receive such proposals from the authors of the forthcoming international review of the UK security, defense and foreign policy.

Citing sources familiar with the draft document, the publication reports that it will also emphasize the need for investments in drones and progressive military developments.
