The Israel Defense Forces announced the death of two soldiers during the fighting in the south of the Gaza Strip on Saturday, the Times of Israel reports.
The names of the victims are known. they are 20-year-old senior sergeants Nachman Meir Chaim Vaknin and Noam Bitan.
It is reported that both of them served in the intelligence unit of the "Givati" brigade.
The soldiers were killed in Rafah region.
As a result of their deaths, the number of Israeli soldiers killed since the beginning of the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip has reached 282.
