Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Uzbekistan on April 22-23 and meet with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirzioev and Foreign Minister Baria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said.
"On April 22-23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan. During his stay in Tashkent, a conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as detailed talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country, "he said at a briefing.
The main goal of the talks will be further development of strategic cooperation between Moscow and Tashkent, regional security and cooperation in international organizations.
